Delete your account
Leaving CINQ.
Last updated September 29, 2026
You can delete your CINQ account yourself at any time, in the CINQ app for iPhone or Android or on cinq.watch. You can also ask us to do it by email. You don’t need to sign in to read this page.
In the app or on the web
- Sign in and open Settings. On a phone it’s under More.
- Scroll down to Account, near the bottom.
- Tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete my account.
To erase everything straight away instead, tap Delete permanently instead in the same place, type your password and tap Delete forever. Signed up with Google and never set a password? Use Delete my account, which doesn’t ask for one, or email us.
By email
Write to sebastianskipwith@gmail.com from the email address on your CINQ account, with “Delete my account” as the subject. If you write from another address, include your username and we will check that the account is yours before deleting anything. We delete it permanently within 30 days and reply when it’s done.
What happens, and when
- Straight away. Your profile and everything you posted are hidden from other members. You are signed out on every device, the browser extension is disconnected, your phones stop getting CINQ notifications, and CINQ+ billing is cancelled, so you are not charged again.
- For the next 30 days everything is kept, hidden, in case you change your mind. Sign in again and you can restore the account exactly as it was, except that the CINQ+ subscription does not start again.
- After 30 days the account is permanently erased by our daily clean-up: your profile and photos, watch history, lists and ratings, posts, comments and reels, the messages and party chat you sent, friends and follows, CINQ+ Match likes, matches and watch dates, the contacts you imported and the TVs you added.
- Delete forever skips the 30 days. Everything above is erased at once and cannot be brought back.
- Copies in our database backups are gone within 30 days after the account is erased.
What we keep
- Records of CINQ+ payments, which our payment processor, Stripe, keeps for as long as tax law requires.
- Reports other members made about you, kept for safety but no longer linked to an account.
- Visit counts in our own analytics, such as page views, which no longer lead back to an account.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, such as evidence we have reported to the authorities.
