Music

The tracks a reel can play under it are by Kevin MacLeod, used under a Creative Commons Attribution licence. They were downloaded from Wikimedia Commons and trimmed to a twelve-second loop; nothing else about them was changed.

Film and television

Posters, stills and the details of every film and show come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Trailers play from YouTube, on their own player. CINQ does not host, copy or re-serve anybody’s video: a watch party keeps a clock beside the player you are already signed into.

Where things are streaming

The link that opens a film on its service — the film’s own page rather than a search for it — comes from three places. Streaming availability information is provided by Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night. Netflix, Apple TV and some other ids come from Wikidata, whose data is in the public domain (CC0). DirecTV titles are matched against DirecTV’s own published guide. And when somebody watches a film on a service through CINQ, the address their player was on is kept for the next person; nothing personal travels with it.

Service names

Netflix, Max, Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, Apple TV, Paramount+, Crunchyroll, MGM+, History, Tubi, Starz, DirecTV and YouTube TV are the trademarks of their owners. CINQ is not affiliated with any of them; their names and marks are used to say where something is streaming.
